A classification is the category in which an ad runs. All classifications are arranged to best serve reader needs by providing the organization needed to go directly to the specific item, service or job desired.

The major categories in Classified Advertising are:

Real Estate for sale
Advertisements are sorted according to 15 different map designations: North Tampa, Peninsula, University/Temple Terrace, Plant City, Brandon, South Hillsborough, Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Manatee, Hardee, DeSoto, and Highlands. Cities and neighborhoods within the areas are organized alphabetically.

Transportation Advertising
All automobiles are organized by make/year/model. Characteristics of automobile advertising should include: make, year, model, price, body style, accessories, mileage, general conditions, and how/when to contact the advertiser.

Employment Advertising
Advertisements are organized by Job Fields: Management/Supervisor, Professional, Computer Technology, Engineering, Technical, Banking/Finance, Insurance, Medical, Domestics/Maids, Hotel/Motel, Clubs/Restaurants, Clerical/Secretarial, Trades, Retail, Sales, and General. Each advertisement is then further organized by Job Title.
