NEW YORK (AP) - Some of the stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily Friday on the New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq Stock Market, and American Stock Exchange.


PepsiCo, down 1 5/8 at 33 7/8

The stock pulled back after surging before late Thursday's announcement that Purchase, N.Y.-based PepsiCo plans to spin off its sluggish restaurant business, which includes the KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell chains.

Eastman Kodak, down 2 7/8 at 85 5/8

The Rochester, N.Y.-based company said its will no longer make Kodak Gold disc film for its disc cameras after 1998. The disc cameras, introduced in 1982, have not been sold since 1989.

General Motors, up 5/8 at 62 1/2

The Wall Street Journal reported that the automaker's board is expected Monday to raise GM's dividend and authorize a stock buyback.


Cascade Communications, down 23 1/8 at 41

The Westford, Mass.-based digital technology concern reported earnings late Thursday that were above estimates, but sales of its frame relay products were flat. Those products make up the bulk of Cascade's revenue.

XLConnect Solutions, down 14 7/8 at 8 3/4

Intelligent Electronics, down 3 3/4 at 3 7/8

XLConnect, an Exton, Pa.-based information technology services provider, said late Thursday that it expects its fourth-quarter earnings to fall below forecasts. Intelligent Electronics owns a majority stake in XLConnect.

Microsemi, down 2 5/8 at 12 3/8

The Santa Ana, Calif.-based semiconducter maker reported a 32 percent jump in its first-quarter earnings, but said revenue was basically flat compared with a year earlier.
